How Fynbiz broadened its SME lending network with Banxware
Fynbiz connects small and medium-sized businesses with banks and alternative lenders to find the right financing for them. With Banxware, Fynbiz filled gaps in its lender network for certain industries, helping SME customers like MAYKA Naturbackwaren access the capital they need within just a few days.

Formed from two of Germany’s leading SME financing brokers, now united as Fynbiz.
Fynbiz was formed from the merger of two established German financing brokers, FinCompare and COMPEON, and united under the single Fynbiz brand in 2026. The company positions itself not as a pure comparison site, but as an independent financing partner for small and medium-sized businesses, bringing them together with banks and alternative lenders to find the right solution for their situation.
Today, Fynbiz serves around 50,000 business customers and brokers more than 300 financings every month with roughly 80 employees. Nearly half of its revenue already comes from repeat customers, reflecting its ambition to be a long-term financing partner across a company's entire lifecycle, not just a one-time transaction.
Fynbiz's network of fast financing providers still had significant gaps.
Fynbiz's goal has always been to support small and medium-sized businesses regardless of industry, size, or individual circumstances. At the same time, alternative lenders offering fast, fully digital solutions were still only limitedly represented in the German market, even though demand for these solutions was clearly increasing among Fynbiz's customers.
Fynbiz already worked with alternative lenders, but only a few covered all industries. This gap particularly affected younger businesses and customers in sectors that often do not fit traditional bank criteria, especially when they needed access to capital quickly.
Underrepresented Alternative Financing
Digital alternative lenders were still only limitedly represented in the German market, meaning Fynbiz could not always offer its customers a fast, fully digital financing solution.
Coverage Gaps Across Industries
Companies in sectors such as e-commerce and gastronomy, as well as younger businesses, often struggled with traditional bank requirements and were therefore left without a suitable financing solution.
Without short-term capital, MAYKA Naturbackwaren could not grow.
MAYKA Naturbackwaren has been producing pretzel sticks and snack pretzels based on Black Forest tradition since 1896, under the leadership of Managing Director Manuel Rams. Demand from both new and existing customers continued to grow: Larger orders and new retail listings created additional growth opportunities. However, existing production capacity was not sufficient to fulfill all orders. To meet demand, MAYKA had to pre-finance raw materials, production, and in some cases additional employees, long before receiving the first customer payments.
MAYKA already had a long-standing relationship with its regional bank, but the bank was not able to provide capital quickly enough to finance new orders in the short term. As a result, the gap between customer demand and production capacity became increasingly visible: MAYKA's sales director regularly had to turn down new orders once capacity limits were reached, joking that he should actually receive a commission for doing so.
With Banxware, Fynbiz expanded its offering with a fast financing solution.
MAYKA Naturbackwaren came to Fynbiz through a personal recommendation. The company needed short-term capital that its regional bank could not provide quickly enough. Fynbiz was able to step in by connecting MAYKA with Banxware and closing this financing gap.
MAYKA is just one example: Since the beginning of the partnership, numerous SME customers of Fynbiz have secured financing through Banxware. The collaboration allows Fynbiz to support its customers more comprehensively and provide the right financing solutions at different stages of their business journey.
The benefit for MAYKA Naturbackwaren
MAYKA Naturbackwaren started its application on a Monday, had a decision by Wednesday, and had the funds in its account by Friday: financing based purely on revenue, something Manuel Rams had never encountered before.
The capital allowed MAYKA to take on orders it would otherwise have had to decline and contributed to the 5% revenue growth the company achieved last year.
